Where the money goes
- Inference cost — what the model itself costs us per call
- Storage — uploaded inputs and generated outputs in R2
- Stripe fees — about 3% on every pack
- Server, monitoring, support, taxes — the boring middle
Why 1 credit is the floor
The cheapest tool we run — image-to-prompt — costs us a fraction of a cent per call. We charge 1 credit because anything finer than that turns the credit into something you have to do math on. We'd rather keep it simple and price the tool, not the operation.
